Katy Sandusky serves as the Associate Communications Director at the National Network of Public Health Institutes (NNPHI). In this role, she leads the development, execution, and evaluation of NNPHI’s communications plan and outreach strategy.
Katy has a ten year career spanning sports, entertainment, nonprofit and disaster relief. Katy’s passion for racial equity and improving overall health for all people drove her to NNPHI. Katy co-founded the Diversity and Inclusion committee for the Louisiana Region of the American Red Cross. She believes absolutely in the power of communication to drive connection and change for all people .
Katy holds a Bachelor of Communications degree and a Master of Business Administration. In her spare time Katy enjoys staying active, learning new healthy recipes, and consulting on communications, media, and social media.
Katy has a history deeply rooted in media, sports, and family. She grew up in Baltimore, MD as the granddaughter of NFL coach John Sandusky & daughter of Voice of the Ravens Gerry Sandusky (no relations to the former Penn State Coach.) She gets her creative spirit and love of people and community from her mother Lee Ann Sandusky.
Katy spends her time between New Orleans and Baltimore, but serves clients across the country.
